HARMONICA seating system – uniquely flexible

Presented as a highlight for the first time at Giardina 2023, this steam-bent wooden bench impresses with its unique design and exceptional seating comfort. The solid oak wood is robust, durable and extremely comfortable, which makes it perfect for use as a garden bench or as a park bench in public spaces. Plus: This bench with backrest – also available as a stool bench – is highly customisable and can be adapted to any radius or form.

Distinctive oak bench

HARMONICA outdoor benches are unique. The parametric seating system is revolutionising the world of outdoor curved benches. The fresh design of this modern garden bench is created by the vertical arrangement of the bentwood seat slats.

For public areas, HARMONICA invites landscape architects to experiment creatively with different radii, forms and lengths. This wooden bench made of curved wood also offers absolute freedom in terms of the form, material and colour of the legs.

A versatile stool bench
with countless possibilities

For an extra touch of individuality, the customisable bench is also available without a backrest. This makes it even more versatile, as visitors, guests, walkers and shoppers can sit on it from either side. The HARMONICA thereby offers a comfortable place for a lunch break or a relaxed chat with friends.

With or without backrest: The HARMONICA brings modular design, sustainability and ergonomics into perfect harmony. It adds the finishing touch to both public spaces and private gardens and is an absolute eye-catcher.

The HARMONICA was developed in close collaboration with the Bern University of Applied Sciences in Biel and the Hightech Zentrum Aargau. The Winkler wood-bending team makes the curved benches entirely in Switzerland using local wood. The oak seat slats get their elegantly curved form from the special steam-bending technique.

This curved solid-wood bench, freshly steam-bent and handcrafted in our workshop, can be ordered from us directly. On request, we can also supply you with the matching HARMONICA shell chairs. You can choose between the HARMONICA seat shell chair from a single piece" and the original HARMONICA outdoor chair in the typical slatted design.
