Interior construction and finishing

Curved forms are also becoming increasingly popular in interior architecture. Carpenters and architects utilise the special charm of curved solid wood in indoor spaces.

Interior design accentuated
with curved wood

We have produced many beautiful interior objects from bentwood in our workshop – from bar counters and skirting boards to panels and other creative features that carpenters elegantly bring to life indoors with curved solid wood. Our bar counter at Hotel Widder Zurich is a fine example of how bentwood can elegantly round off a top architect’s design.

Large-scale projects are also part of our repertoire – such as hundreds of metres of steam-bent wood for the interior fittings of the new Police and Justice Centre in the city of Zurich. We work with renowned architects and experienced carpenters to bring ambitious curved-wood projects to life together.

Curved room dividers as eye-catchers

Architects and designers are increasingly daring to give rooms, dividers, counters and built-in furniture a curved, natural form.

If they opt for solid wood, a particularly high-quality, organic design can be achieved with bentwood. Compared with milled wood, the structure of steam-bent wood follows the curve smoothly. This allows us to significantly reduce the number of joints and glued seams. The result not only looks natural and elegant, but is also extremely stable.

We will be happy to advise you on your interior design projects from as early as the planning phase.
